Black Squares I

Updated: May 22, 2020

Black Square, Kazimir Malevich, 1915

The box I was given at birth, sides three;

the rest of my mind was set to be free.

Black squares, all aligned in a corner for me;

the best of my mind was meant to be free.

Fontanelic synostosis circumradiusly;

a congenital occurrence for mortals to be.

As immortals we’re borne to unlimited luck;

three sides for my box, the deal that I struck.

The box I now live in, was given to me;

the rest of my soul was sent to be free.

The box that I lived in, I wanted for me;

the best of my soul was meant to be free.
